administration of your order, and it is because we are part of the Amazon group
that we can offer discounts of as much as 50% on certain titles. Steve's Canals
& Waterways Site is just a facilitator of the service and provides an easy
way to find just the canal or waterways book you are looking for.
The opening page provides your portal onto the site. It contains links to full details of the books available. Each link on this page will give you a brief description of what you will find when you click it. It may be only a specific book which I personally recommend, or it could be a group of books which are related in topic. Once here, you then click on the title of the book to take you to its specific purchase point The shop mainly deals with Waterways books, but you can access the complete range of books stocked by Amazon by using the search box situated at the bottom of each page.
Prices are only displayed when you reach the Amazon specific purchase point for each individual book, this is so you always get the most up to date offers and pricing details (if you have used the search box, you may have pricing information against the books found, but to purchase the book you still need to click on its title and go to the specific purchase point where you will see the shopping basket.)
Depending on which browser you are using and how it is set up, to successfully navigate between the pages in the shop you may either need to close or minimize the new windows which open as you click on the various links when you finish with them, and continue from the main page, or you may find you need to use your back button on the browser. If you have found the title of the book you wish to buy from a link on the shop pages, click on it and you will be taken to the purchase point for your specific book and you can then put it in your electronic shopping basket and continue shopping or go to the checkout.
If you have found your book title via the search box, again you need to click on it to take you to the purchase point, and then continue as above.
Once you have chosen a book and put it in your basket you can of course put it back if you change your mind.
All credit card details and your personal details are private between you and Amazon. I do not get to see who is shopping or what they buy.

Either from my links (see how does this shop work), or you can use the search box at the bottom of each page of the shop. You can search by Author, Title or just keywords. As with all search engines, the more information you input the more you narrow the search results. A single word will give more matches than a group of words so if you don't get you title up immediately it is worth changing the search words.
HOW DO I MAKE A GIFT PURCHASE?
You can place an order to be sent as a gift to someone else; simply mark the appropriate gift option on Step 3 of the online order form. For gift orders Amazon will not include prices on the packing slip. If you wish to, you can include a personalized gift message in your order in the box provided. These services are free of charge. Amazon also offer gift wrapping, for which they charge £2.00 per order. If you would like gift wrapping paper, please select the wrapping paper type. If you do not require wrapping for the gift, then make certain you select the option "This order is a gift, but I prefer no gift-wrapping", otherwise your order will be sent as a normal order, showing the prices on the packing slip. You can specify the name and delivery address of the recipient on the delivery address page. If you would like to place more than one gift order, you must place each order separately, as an order cannot be marked to be sent to more than one address. Please note: if you request dispatch of an order to a new address (one you haven't used with Amazon before with the credit card(s) they have on file for you), they will ask you to reconfirm the credit card for reasons of security.
